Tanja Petrović

Tanja Petrović, geboren 1974 in Svetozarevo (heute Jagodina, Serbien), promovierte 2005 an der Ljubljana School of Humanities und lehrt heute als Privatdozentin am Research Center of the Slovenian Academy of Sciences and Arts in Ljubljana. 2010/2011 war sie Fellow am Wissenschaftskolleg zu Berlin, 2013/14 Fellow am Netherlands Institute for Advanced Study in the Humanities and Social Sciences. Sie publizierte neben „Yuropa“ die Bücher „Ne tu, ne tam: Srbi v Beli krajini in njihova jezikovna ideologija v procesu zamenjave jezika“ (2006) und „A Long Way Home: Representations of the Western Balkans in Political and Media Discourses.” (2009). In Deutschland erschien zuletzt der Aufsatz „The past that binds us: Yugonostalgia as the politics of future” in dem von Srda Pavlović und Marko Živković herausgegebenen Sammelband „Transcending Fratricide: Political Mythologies, Reconciliations, and the Uncertain Future in the Former Yugoslavia“ (2013).
